Makar Sakranti Special, gluten free and sugar free cookies made with Gur and bajra.
Serves 4
Ingredients
3.5 cups bajra or pearl millet flour
1.5 cups jaggery or gur
3/4 cup water
2 tbsp til or sesame seeds
Oil, for brushing
Instructions
In a microwavable dish, add water and jaggery and microwave it for 30-40 seconds or till the jaggery melts completely.
In a bowl, add bajra flour and sesame seeds.
Then pour in the melted jaggery.
Knead it into a soft and smooth dough.
Take a portion of the dough and roll it into 1/4 inch thickness and then cut it into desired shape cookies.
Preheat the oven at 180˚C for 15 minutes.
In a baking tray, place a parchment paper and brush it with some oil.
Place the bajra cookies and bake for 15 minutes at 180˚C on one side.
Then remove from the oven and turn them and bake for another 15 minutes on the other side.
Baked Bajra Gur Cookies are ready!
