Beetroot Oats Cheela | Oats Beetroot Pancake | Healthy Breakfast

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp besan or gram flour

  • 1 big beetroot, grinded or grated

  • 3 tbsp oats, grounded

  • 1 tbsp maize flour or makke ka atta

  • 2 tsp suji or semolina

  • 2 green chillies, chopped

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp flax seeds

  • 1 tsp salt, adjust to taste

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp kasuri methi

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add besan, makke ka atta, suji and powdered oats and mix it with the pureed beetroot.

  2. Add chopped onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and kasuri methi to it.

  3. Now add in the spices, salt and flax seeds.

  4. Mix it to form a smooth batter using some water.

  5. Heat a tawa or pan, add some oil to it and pour 2 tbsp of batter and spread it evenly.

  6. Cook the cheela well on both sides applying oil on both.

  7. Place it in a plate and sprinkle some chopped onions and mint chutney on top.

  8. Enjoy the richness of the beetroot oats cheela.
