Makes 25 laddu
Ingredients
3/4 cup ghee or clarified butter
1.5 cup besan or gram flour
1.5 cup sugar or powdered bura
1/2 cup suji or rava
1-2 tsp elaichi powder
1 tbsp melon seeds
Instructions
In a large kadhai, heat ghee and add besan and suji.
Roast them on low flame for 30 minutes until besan turns golden brown and becomes aromatic.
If the mixture turns dry, you may add a tbsp of ghee.
Add elaichi powder to it.
Transfer the mixture to a large plate or parat, allowing to cool for 10 minutes.
Then fry 2 tbsp melon seeds in 1 tbsp ghee. Add it to the roasted mixture.
After 10 minutes, add 1.5 cup powdered sugar to the mixture, and mix well using hands.
Prepare ball sized laddus with the palm of your hands.
You can store these for 2 weeks in an airtight container.
