Bread Pudding | Custard Butter Bread Pudding

Serves 3

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp mixed nuts, chopped

  • 1 tbsp butter, unsalted

For custard sauce:

  • 1 tbsp vanilla custard powder

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. For the custard sauce, in a bowl add 1/4 cup milk, custard powder and brown sugar and mix well.

  2. In a pan, bowl 1 cup milk and when it begins to bowl add the custard sauce to it. Cook for about a minute and switch off the gas as it thickens.

  3. Grease a baking dish.

  4. Preheat oven at 200˚C for 15 minutes.

  5. Take 4 bread slices and remove its corners and cut into squares.

  6. Now place these squares in the greased baking dish and pour the custard on top of it.

  7. Sprinkle some brown sugar on top and drizzle some chopped nuts.

  8. Now finally add small drops of butter all over the dish.

  9. Bake the bread pudding at 180˚C for 30 minutes and its ready to be served!
