Cabbage Peas Sabzi | Patta Gobbi Matar



Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cabbage, shredded

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 cup peas

  • 2 green chillies, chopped

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp kitchen king masala

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds or jeera

  • 1 tbsp mustard oil

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • few coriander leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, add oil and saute the cumin seeds.

  2. When they begin to crackle, add the ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and onions. Saute till the onions turn translucent.

  3. Add the spices and salt and 1/2 cup water to it.

  4. Finally add in the shredded cabbage and peas and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

  5. If the water seems extra, you may cook it for 2-3 minutes more without the lid.

  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
