Cabbage Potato Sabzi | Patta Gobhi Aloo Ki Sabzi


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cabbage, shredded

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 4 medium size potatoes, peeled and chopped

  • 2 green chillies, chopped

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp kitchen king masala

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder

  • 1 tsp rai or black mustard seeds

  • 1 tbsp mustard oil

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp besan or gram flour

  • few coriander leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Firstly, dry roast besan in a Kadhai or pan.

  2. In a pressure cooker, add oil and saute rai.

  3. When they begin to crackle, add the ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and onions. Saute till the onions turn translucent.

  4. Add the spices, roasted besan, salt and 1/2 cup water to it.

  5. Finally add in the shredded cabbage and potatoes and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
