Chocolate Peda | Diwali Recipes | Using Milk Powder

Chocolate Peda is a unique twist to the regular pedi recipes that we eat. Do give this one a try.


Makes 18-20

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups milk powder

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 tbsp roasted sooji or semolina

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, grinded

  • 2 tbsp ghee or clarified butter

  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add ghee and allow it to melt.

  2. Then add milk and milk powder and whisk well to avoid lumps.

  3. Add grinded cashews, sugar, roasted sooji, cocoa powder and mix well.

  4. Cook it on a low flame till the mixture begins to come together and leave the sides of the pan. This will take about 15 minutes.

  5. The creamy and chocolaty Chocolate Peda is ready!
