Christmas Tree Mint & Garlic Bread | Christmas Special


Christmas season is here, giving us so many reasons to rejoice and bake! So here's a delicious Christmas treat, The Christmas Tree Mint & Garlic bread!

Serves 3

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast

  • 2 cups all purpose flour or maida

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • Water, for kneading

  • 1/4 cup mint chutney

  • 100 gms paneer cubes, crumbled

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

For Garlic Butter:

  • 1/4 cup salted butter

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 15 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

  • 1 tsp oregano

Instructions

  1. To lukewarm water, add sugar and dry yeast. Give it a stir and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

  2. Once the yeast has activated, add all purpose flour, oil, salt, garlic powder and knead it into a smooth but stiff dough. Add more water if needed.

  3. Cover and keep it aside for proofing for 1-2 hours.

  4. In a microwaveable bowl, add butter, oil, garlic cloves, chilli flakes and oregano and microwave it for 30-40 seconds.

  5. After 2 hours, knead it again and divide it into 2 parts.

  6. Roll it into a thin sheet and cut in the shape of a Christmas tree.

  7. Repeat the same to the other part of the dough.

  8. Now to the first Christmas tree, apply the prepared garlic butter.

  9. On top of it apply mint chutney, add paneer crumbles, cheese and cover on top with the other Christmas tree dough.

  10. Now apply butter on the same.

  11. Now add some cuts on the edges of the tree and twist them in one direction.

  12. Preheat the oven or OTG at 180˚C for 15 minutes.

  13. Place the tree on a grease oven tray and bake at 180˚C for 40-45 minutes.

  14. Baked Christmas Tree Mint & Garlic bread is ready!
