Healthy and nutritious Cream of Spinach soup is one such winter delight that is so warm and appetising.
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 bunch palak or spinach leaves
2 cups milk
2 tsp salt or to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp garlic seasoning
1 tbsp spreadable agar agar
2 tbsp fresh cream
1 inch ginger
1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
Blanch palak or spinach leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Then immediately transfer them to a bowl with ice cold water.
Transfer them to a blender, add ginger piece and blend to a smooth paste.
In a pan, boil milk and add agar agar powder to it. Whisk well to avoid lumps.
Add the spinach puree to it.
Add salt, sugar, black pepper powder and garlic seasoning to it and let it simmer cook on a low flame for 5-7 minutes.
Finally, add in the cream and take off from the flame.
The Cream of Spinach Soup is ready! Enjoy warm with crispy bread crumbs.
