Crispy Paneer Burger | Paneer Veggie Burger | McDonald's Style Paneer Burger

Makes 6 burgers

Ingredients

  • 6 burger buns

For Paneer Patty:

  • 12 paneer slices

  • 4 tbsp mint chutney

  • Oil, for frying

For Burger:

  • 1 cucumber, sliced

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • 2 tbsp paneer, grated

  • 4 tbsp mint chutney

  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 2 tbsp oil

For Coating:

  • 1/2 cup crushed cornflakes

  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 2 tbsp maida or all purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp cornflour

  • 4-5 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp maida and cornflour, add salt and red chilli powder and add water to form a paste.

  2. Take one slice of paneer and apply some green chutney on it. Cover it with another slice.

  3. Dip it in the cornflour-maida paste and roll over some crushed cornflakes and red chilli flakes.

  4. Deep fry them in hot oil and fry evenly from both sides on medium to high flame. Take off from the pan once they are golden brown.

  5. For the burger, heat a pan and drizzle some oil over it. Cut the bun into 2 halves and toast each of them from both sides and take off from the pan.

  6. To the lower half of the burger bun, add some mint chutney, tomato slices, then the crispy paneer patty, tomato ketchup, onion rings, cucumber rings and some grated paneer. Top it with the burger bun half and seal it with a tooth pick.

  7. Enjoy the Crispy Paneer Burger with some tomato ketchup and fries!
