Although you may use tinned cherries too, but fresh cherries make the cookies so moist and pulpy that it tastes just awesome!

Makes 16 cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar, powdered
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups all purpose flour or maida
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
25 fresh cherries, pitted
3 tbsp milk
1/2 cup choco chips
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Instructions
In a bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar and whisk them till light and fluffy.
Now sieve through all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder. Mix them well.
Add vanilla essence, cherries and choco chips.
Finally add milk and knead the dough together to form a ball.
Preheat the oven at 200˚C for 15 minutes.
Scoop out a ball from the cookie dough and place it on the baking sheet.
Bake the black forest cookies at 180˚C for 18-20 minutes.
Let them rest outside for another 15 minutes.
