Ingredients
1 cup chickpeas or chana, soaked overnight & boiled
1 tbsp sesame seeds or til
3-4 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp cumin or jeera powder
1/2 lemon
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup olive oil
Pinch or red chilli powder
1 tsp black sesame seeds
Instructions
In a pan, dry roast white sesame seeds or til till they change colour. Then grind them into powder form.
Grind the boiled chickpeas or chana to a smooth paste, add a little water if needed.
To the blender add 2 tbsp of sesame seed powder, cumin powder, garlic cloves, salt and blend well.
Now transfer it to a bowl and top it with some olive oil, black sesame seeds and red chilli powder.
Enjoy your homemade hummus with pita bread or chips.
