Homemade Hummus | Healthy Dip | Chickpea Hummus


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpeas or chana, soaked overnight & boiled

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds or til

  • 3-4 garlic cloves

  • 1/4 tsp cumin or jeera powder

  • 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • Pinch or red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a pan, dry roast white sesame seeds or til till they change colour. Then grind them into powder form.

  2. Grind the boiled chickpeas or chana to a smooth paste, add a little water if needed.

  3. To the blender add 2 tbsp of sesame seed powder, cumin powder, garlic cloves, salt and blend well.

  4. Now transfer it to a bowl and top it with some olive oil, black sesame seeds and red chilli powder.

  5. Enjoy your homemade hummus with pita bread or chips.
