Easy and healthy Sev Namkeen is a must try at home for healthy snacking.
Makes 2 Jars
Ingredients
For Sev:
1 cup besan or gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
Pinch of hing
1 tsp salt
Oil, for frying
Water, for kneading
For Namkeen:
2 cups murmure or puffed rice
2 cups flattened rice or thick poha
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1/2 cup roasted chana
1/4 cup cashew nuts
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
2-3 tsp salt or to taste
1 tbsp chaat masala
1 tsp sugar
Instructions
In a bowl, sieve besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing and salt.
Using water, knead it into a soft and smooth dough.
Grease a chakli maker and place a slide with fine holes.
Roll the dough and insert it into the maker.
Heat oil and press the sev into hot oil in a circular manner.
Fry until golden and crisp from both sides.
Sev is ready.
Now reduce oil in this pan and fry the murmurs or puffed rice until crispy.
Dry roast the flattened rice or thick poha in the same pan.
Mix in all the ingredients along with sev.
Add salt, sugar, red chilli powder and chaat masala.
