Instant Rasmalai | Using Milk Powder

Who thought that making rasmalai could be so easy? Make Instant Rasmalai using our recipe and enjoy the creamy and sweet rasmalai just ready in an hour.


Serves 6

Ingredients

For Rabdi:

  • 4 cups milk

  • 2 tbsp dry fruits, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom or elaichi powder

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 4-5 saffron strands

For Rasmalai:

  • 1 cup milk powder

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp ghee or clarified butter

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add 4 cups of full fat milk and let it boil.

  2. Then simmer cook it till it reduces to 1/.4 of its original capacity, while continuously stirring and removing malai/cream from the sides.

  3. Add 1/4 cup sugar to it.

  4. Add chopped dry fruits, elaichi powder and saffron strands and keep it aside.

  5. For the rasmalai, in a pan, add milk powder, milk and powdered sugar and mix it well to avoid any lumps.

  6. Add ghee and when it all comes together and starts to leave the sides of the pan, transfer it to a bowl.

  7. Now take small portion from this and make a ball, flatten it to form rasmalai and dip it in the previously made rabdi.

  8. Instant Rasmalai is ready. Chill and serve!
