Ingredients
2 cup maida or all purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1.5 cups soft salted butter
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
2 tbsp milk
3 tbsp mixed fruit jam
Instructions
In a bowl, add sugar and soft butter and whisk them till it turns slightly fluffy.
Now add the vanilla essence.
Sieve through the flour and salt.
Mix them together till it comes together to form a dough.
Form small dough balls using hands and press them gently.
Dip the upper side in milk and then desiccated coconut.
Create a finger impression in the centre and fill it with jam.
Place it on a baking tray lined with a parchment paper or baking sheet .
Preheat the oven or OTG (Mode: Fan + upper rod + lower rod) at 200*C for 15 minutes.
Then place the baking tray into the oven or OTG and bake at 180*C for 15-20 minutes.
After 15 minutes, take out the cookies and allow them to cool for another 15 minutes.
