Ingredients:
2 teaspoons ghee
200 grams khoya
2 tablespoons milk + 7-8 saffron strands
2-3 drops yellow food colour
4 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoons Rasmalai Spread, optional
few pistachios, chopped
few saffron strands, for garnish
Method:
Add 2 teaspoon ghee in a pan and add khoya to it.
Cook it on a low flame with saffron infused milk until it melts completely.
Add 4 tablespoons sugar and them mix well.
Add rasmalai spread for an extra rich flavour.
Cook for 10-12 minutes till the mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan.
Then add few drops of yellow food colour and mix well.
Transfer to a bowl and allow it to cool a little.
Then transfer it to a parchment sheet and spread it using your fingers or spatula.
Using a cookie cutter, cut into desired shape and size.
Garnish with chopped pistachios & saffron strands and serve your Khoya Barfi!
