Leftover Poha & Potato Cutlets



Serves 5

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp besan or gram flour

  • 1 cup leftover vegetable poha

  • 4 boiled potatoes

  • 2 tbsp suji or rava

  • 1.5 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

  • 1 tsp peanut powder

  • 1 tsp haldi or turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp amchoor or dry mango powder

  • 1/2 tsp jeera or cumin powder

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the leftover poha and mashed boiled potatoes and mix them together.

  • Now add besan to it and add all the spices. Bring it all together. You may add more besan if needed.

  • In a small bowl add cornflour and few drops of water to form a paste.

  • Heat oil in a pan for frying.

  • Using your hands take a small piece of dough and roll it to form a tikki or cutlet.

  • Now dip it into the cornflour paste and then roll over some suji.

  • When the oil is hot, put the cutlets one by one into it.

  • Fry them till crispy and golden brown from both sides.

  • Sprinkle some chaat masala over them and serve hot!
