Mango Sheera | Mango Halwa | Mango Suji Halwa

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mango pulp

  • 1 tsp cardamom or elaichi powder

  • 1/2 cup rava or semolina

  • A pinch of salt

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 7-8 cashew nuts and almonds

  • 1/4 cup ghee or clarified butter

  • 1.5 cups warm water

  • 3-4 strands of saffron soaked in 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a pan or Kadhai, add ghee and roast the nuts.

  2. Add in the suji or rava and roast till it changes colour.

  3. Now add in powdered sugar and then the mango pulp.

  4. Mix well and slowly start adding water while continuously stirring.

  5. The sheera will thicken. Now add in the elaichi powder and saffron milk.

  6. Switch off the gas. Serve warm for the best taste.
