Delicious homemade Pizza Rolls that are even better than the store bought ones and require no yeast!
Serves 6
Ingredients
1 cup maida or all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour or atta
1/2 cup curd
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp sugar
Warm water as needed
1/2 cup pizza cheese
For Sauce:
2 tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt or as per taste
2 tsp ketchup
5-6 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp red chilli flakes
Instructions
Prepare the pizza sauce by heating oil in a pan.
Add the chopped onion in it. Allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes till lightly brown in colour.
Now add in the chopped tomatoes. Add salt, black pepper, oregano and chilli flakes.
Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or till tomatoes become mushy.
Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, sugar and tomato ketchup to it.
Cool the mixture down and churn into a fine puree or sauce.
Make a soft dough using the above ingredients using little warm water.
Save one tbsp oil for kneading later.
Rest the dough for about 30-40 minutes.
Spread some dry flour on the slab and roll the dough into a thin sheet.
Spread some pizza sauce over it and drizzle some pizza cheese.
Now roll from one end to the other forming a cylinder and seal the edges with some water.
Cut it into 1.5-2 inch thick rolls.
Grease a cake mould and place the rolls at a distance from each other in it.
Preheat the oven or OTG at 200˚C for 15 minutes and bake for 30 minutes at 200˚C.
Delicious Pizza Rolls are ready!
