Ingredients
2 tbsp mustard oil
3-4 sabut kali mirch or black peppercorns
3 laung or cloves
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tej patta or bay leaves
1 medium onion, sliced
1-2 green chilies, chopped
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp jeera powder
2 tsp salt to taste
1 cup homemade paneer cubes
1 tsp kasuri methi or dried fenugreek leaves
Instructions
Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat. Then add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for few seconds.
Add laung, tej patta, ginger garlic paste, sabut kali mirch and cook for a minute.
Now add the onion, green chilies and stir. Cook for 5 minutes until light browned.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes until softened.
Then add coriander powder, jeera powder, turmeric and red chilli powder. Add salt and mix.
Now crumble the paneer cubes and mix everything together. Cook the paneer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add garam masala and sprinkle kasuri methi. Serve hot with chapatis.
