Navratri season has begun, so here is a simple, yet delicious vrat special recipe, Sabudana Thalipeeth.
Serves 5
Ingredients
Oil for cooking
1 cup sabudana, washed and soaked
3 boiled potatoes, mashed
few coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp jeera powder
2-3 green chillies, chopped
2 tsp salt or to taste
1 tbsp roasted peanut powder
Instructions
Wash and soak the sabudana for 4 hours. Strain the water from the sabudana.
In a bowl, take sabudana, potatoes, green chillies and coriander leaves, mix them well.
Now add all the spices and form a soft dough.
Take a small portion of the dough and make a small ball.
Grease a plastic sheet and place the dough ball on it. Using your fingers, spread the dough to form a disc shape.
Heat a non-stick pan. Apply some oil.
Cook the thalipeeth from both the sides using oil till golden brown and crisp.
Vrat-special Sabudana Thalipeeth is ready.
