Sabudana Thalipeeth | Vrat Special Recipe

Navratri season has begun, so here is a simple, yet delicious vrat special recipe, Sabudana Thalipeeth.


Serves 5

Ingredients

  • Oil for cooking

  • 1 cup sabudana, washed and soaked

  • 3 boiled potatoes, mashed

  • few coriander leaves, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder

  • 2-3 green chillies, chopped

  • 2 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tbsp roasted peanut powder

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the sabudana for 4 hours. Strain the water from the sabudana.

  2. In a bowl, take sabudana, potatoes, green chillies and coriander leaves, mix them well.

  3. Now add all the spices and form a soft dough.

  4. Take a small portion of the dough and make a small ball.

  5. Grease a plastic sheet and place the dough ball on it. Using your fingers, spread the dough to form a disc shape.

  6. Heat a non-stick pan. Apply some oil.

  7. Cook the thalipeeth from both the sides using oil till golden brown and crisp.

  8. Vrat-special Sabudana Thalipeeth is ready.
