Makes 25 Vadas
Ingredients
Oil for frying
1 bowl sabudana, washed and soaked
4 boiled potatoes, mashed
1 medium size onion, chopped
few coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp jeera powder
2-3 green chillies, chopped
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp besan or gram flour
1 tbsp roasted peanut powder
1 tbsp chaat masala, for garnish
Instructions
Wash and soak the sabudana for 4 hours. Strain the water from the sabudana.
Heat oil in a kadhai for frying.
In a bowl, take sabudana, potatoes, onions, green chillies and coriander leaves, mix them well.
Now add all the spices with besan and form a soft dough.
Once the oil is hot, lower the flame to medium and fry 2-3 sabudana vadas.
Take small portion of the batter, roll it into a ball and flatten using both hands.
Fry till golden brown. Take them out on a plate and sprinkle some chaat masala and serve with hot tea.
