Ingredients
1.5 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 capsicum, chopped
5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
1/3 cabbage, chopped
1 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp soya sauce
1.5 tbsp schezwan sauce
1 tbsp tomato sauce
½ tsp pepper powder
2 tsp salt
2 cups water
1 cup rice, uncooked
1 tsp sesame seeds or til, for garnishing
Instructions
In a pressure cooker, heat oil and saute onion and garlic.
Then add capsicum and stir fry on high flame.
Finally, add cabbage and carrots and stir fry for a minute.
Add vinegar, soya sauce, schezwan sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper powder and salt. Mix them well.
Now add in 2 cups of water and boil on medium flame.
Wash one cup rice throughly and drain the water.
Add the rice to the cooker.
Close the lid and let it cook for 2-3 whistles. Fried rice is ready!
Drizzle some sesame seeds and serve with manchurian in gravy or chilli paneer.
