Sweet & Sour Vegetables | Indo Chinese Recipes | Chinese Vegetable Curry

The delicious Sweet and Sour vegetables is one of the most made Indo Chinese Curry recipe. You can enjoy this with rice, noodles or some chopsuey!


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 inch ginger, finely chopped

  • 4-5 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 1 carrot, sliced

  • 3 tbsp cabbage, shredded

  • 1/2 capsicum, sliced

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tsp schezwan sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/4 cup cornflour paste using 1 tsp cornflour, 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan or Kadhai, heat oil.

  2. Saute ginger, garlic and onion.

  3. Now add the rest of the vegetables and saute for about a minute.

  4. Add vinegar, soy sauce, schezwan sauce and water.

  5. Add salt, sugar and pepper powder and allow it to come to a boil.

  6. Cover and simmer cook for 5-7 minutes.

  7. Remove the lid and add cornflour paste to get the desired consistency.

  8. Garnish with some chopped green onions and serve hot.

  9. Delicious Sweet and Sour Vegetable is ready!
