Ingredients
1 bowl idli/dosa batter
Water, to add to the batter
3 tbsp oil
For the topping:
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
Few coriander leaves, finely chopped (optional)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp salt or to taste
Instructions
For the topping, mix the onion, tomatoes and add salt and red chilli powder to it.
Now take the dosa batter and add some water to it.
When you reach a medium consistency, heat a pan and pour some oil on it.
Pour 2 tbsp of batter on to the pan or tawa and spread it evenly.
Drizzle the toppings on top and press them gently into the dosa batter.
Now put some oil on the sides and top.
Let it cook for a minute and then flip on to the other side.
Allow both sides to cook on medium to low flame.
Serve your delicious tomato onion uttapam with hot sambhar and coriander coconut chutney.
