Veg. Hot & Sour Soup | Healthy Soups | Quick & Easy

Veg. Hot & Sour Soup is super easy to make and delicious to have.

Serves 5

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 inch ginger, finely chopped

  • 4-5 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 1 green chilies, finely chopped

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 carrot, finely chopped

  • 3 tbsp cabbage, finely chopped

  • 1/2 capsicum, finely chopped

  • 8-10 French beans, finely chopped

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 tsp salt or to taste

  • 2 tbsp soya sauce

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tsp chilli sauce

  • 1/4 cup cornflour paste using 1 tsp cornflour, 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan or Kadhai, heat oil.

  2. Saute ginger, garlic, green chillies and onion.

  3. Now add the rest of the vegetables and saute for about a minute.

  4. Add vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce and water.

  5. Add salt and pepper powder and allow it to come to a boil.

  6. Cover and simmer cook for 5-7 minutes.

  7. Remove the lid and add cornflour paste to get the desired soup consistency.

  8. Garnish with some chopped green onions and serve hot.

  9. The super healthy and wholesome Hot & Sour Soup is ready!
