Whole Wheat Hot Dog Buns | Eggless | Refined Flour-Free

These mini hot dog buns are eggless and refined flour free, made with whole wheat flour only.


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water, lukewarm

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1/2 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tbsp instant dry yeast

  • 1.5 cups wheat flour

  • 3/4 tsp salt

  • Some pumpkin, flax and sunflower seeds

  • 2 tbsp milk, for brushing

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add yeast and sugar and pour the lukewarm water. Mix well and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.

  • In a bowl, add whole wheat flour, salt and oil and mix well.

  • Pour int he yeast water to this and knead it into a smooth but stiff dough.

  • Cover and let it sit for 1-2 hours.

  • After 1-2 hours, punch the dough and knead it again for 5 minutes.

  • Divide it into 6 parts.

  • Brush it with milk and apply the seeds on top.

  • Preheat oven or OTG at 195˚C and bake at 195˚C for 20 minutes.

  • Whole Wheat Hot Dog Buns are ready!
